Decoration 5.0 Released

Decoration 5.0 has just been released. Decoration is an image batch processor. Layer effects on top of each others and apply the effects to multiple images.

What’s new:

Effects:

  • Added EdgeBorderFilter effect
  • Added RandomDecoFileFilter effect
  • Added CollageFilter effect
  • Added possibility to pass a color gradient instead of a plain color for some filters.
  • Added new ways to merge image with current image for Image Over project
  • Added option to draw outline of text
  • Added inner shadow option in drop shadow effect
  • Improved computing size of text
  • Improve speed to detect if rotation of image is needed
  • Set upright effect will keep the Jpeg quality if it’s the only filter
  • Fixed Rescale filter for transparency
  • Fixed some filters (like Crop) not working correctly with % or ‰
  • Fixed Border to not accept gradient as not supported
  • Fixed Gradient Frame to always set the gradient based on the image size
  • Fixed applying gradient to text sometimes incorrect
  • Moved Scratch Weave effects to the Texture category

User Interface:

Japplis Watch Pro Released

Japplis Watch Pro clock on Windows

Japplis Watch and Japplis Watch Pro version 1.5 has been released. This is the first release of the ‘Pro’ version.

What’s exclusively in the pro version:

  • Gradient or image as background
  • Partial support of WatchMaker watch faces to show time
  • Command line option to hide tabs or create your own panel
  • Possibility to hide the menu

What’s new in Japplis Watch:

  • Better installer for Mac OS X: signed and notarized dmg and Homebrew
  • winget install for Windows
  • Many bug fixes
  • Updated application framework (> 700 changes)

Japplis Toolbox 5.5 Released

Japplis Toolbox and Japplis Toolbox Pro version 5.5 have been released.

Japplis Toolbox is a set of more than 50 text utilities in one software. The pro version allows more input and output options and the possibility to create macros.

What’s new (main changes):

  • The Mac OS X installation is a signed and notarized .dmg file
  • Possibility to install Japplis Toolbox using Homebrew
  • Possibility to install Japplis Toolbox using winget
  • Sorting will sort text with numbers correctly
  • 2 new tools in pattern: To uppercase regexp, To lowercase regexp
  • Applet file included so that you can run it easily embedded in IntelliJ IDEA, Android Studio, PyCharm, Eclipse or NetBeans using the Applet Runner plugin.
  • Many bug fixes and small improvements

What’s new in Japplis Toolbox Pro

  • Added possibility to ignore clipboard as input when the content is not multi-lines
  • Added find tools (F9)
  • Added shortcut ctrl + shift + up to copy output to input
  • Dynamic validation of the macro form
  • New output option: show file chooser
  • Fixed setting to append or replace a file in output mode
  • Possibility to run the free version if the license has expired
  • Fixed sometimes deleting macro didn’t delete the macro
  • Adding a new action offers a drop down to choose from possible actions

The application framework had been updated which contains more than 500 changes compared to the previous version in Japplis Toolbox.

A new Terminal for NetBeans

I’ve integrated IntelliJ IDEA terminal (JediTerm) to Apache NetBeans. This way, there is no need to have Cygwin installed for Windows like for the standard NetBeans Terminal.

To run it, download the free Applet Runner plugin from Apache NetBeans Plugin Portal and execute the applet located at https://www.japplis.com/applet-runner/terminal/jediterm.html

I’ve integrated a Commodore 64 emulator to IntelliJ IDEA and other JetBrains IDE’s such as Android Studio or PyCharm using the Applet Runner plug-in.

It can also load .prg files.
